Here are a few other ministries of the church that were not included on the previous page.
Golden Agers


"Golden Agers" is the name we give to our very active senior citizen ministry. This very active group meets at least twice each month for special times of fellowship, sharing, eating together, table games, etc.
They are active in supporting several of our other ministries. The group is especially invigorated by the arrival each year of many winter visitors who make the Eighth and Harrison Church of Christ their home church during their winter sojourn in our beautiful Rio Grande Valley.
Winter Visitors make up an important dynamic in our fellowship. Each year we have a sizable group that comes and works in various ministries. We extend to them a special welcome and always look forward to the vigor and enthusiasm that they add to our fellowship.
Monthly Pot Luck and game night takes place the 2nd Friday of each month at 6 PM in the multi purpose room. Bring a friend and a covered dish and enjoy.
Monthly Birthday/Anniversary luncheon takes place the 4th Thursday of each month at 11:30 AM at a local restaurant.

Ladies Activities
Come join us for a time of fellowship, prayer and Bible study.
Every Tuesday at 10 AM in the Multi-Purpose Building (September through May) A potluck lunch is also included after class on the first Tuesday of each month when the class is in session.

On Wednesday evenings we have two different ladies' Bible classes available; one in Room 24 and the other meeting in the Multi-Purpose building.

In the month of October for the past few years several women of the church have been traveling together to enjoy a joyous uplifting week-end at the Women of Faith event in San Antonio.
